These tilings may look entirely algorithmic, but they're laboriously created by an actual human (although, to be fair, that human uses a collection of programs to replicate the pattern and merge lines...)
If you'd like to create your own, I also wrote a slightly clumsy Javascript tool that lets you play in your browser and export SVG files.
